Nutrition Officer (Urban Nutrition) – Full Time

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Nutrition Officer to lead the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of nutrition programmes, with a focus on urban nutrition challenges in Sudan. The role provides technical leadership and programme management support to improve maternal, infant and child nutrition outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and planning of nutrition programmes, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s strategic priorities.
• Manage programme implementation, monitoring progress and delivering results against targets.
• Provide technical and operational guidance for nutrition interventions, including monitoring & evaluation.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities within the nutrition team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Epidemiology, Public Health, Nutrition, Global Health or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in monitoring & evaluation, programme management, nutrition, public health, maternal and child health, or urban nutrition.
• Demonstrated expertise in nutrition planning, M&E, public health and management.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language (e.g., Arabic) is a plus.
