Field Coordinator for Feina Base

About the role

Médecins du Monde is opening a new mission in Feina, West Darfur, to support displaced populations. The Field Coordinator will lead the base, ensuring programmes meet operational, administrative, financial, HR, and safety objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Feina base and coordinate a team of expatriate and national staff.
• Implement project proposals, monitor budgets, and liaise with NGOs and government bodies.
• Ensure staff security, safety, and compliance with security regulations.
• Continuously assess humanitarian and security situations and report to the head of mission.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role with an international NGO in emergency contexts, preferably health sector.
• Experience in field‑level security management.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in isolated, high‑stress environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic knowledge is an asset.

What we offer

• Gross monthly salary of €3 663 on a fixed‑term contract until 31/12/2026.
• 13th month salary paid in two installments after six months of service.
• Expatriation allowance of 10% of gross salary.
• Coverage of travel, visas, vaccinations, health insurance (50% covered by MdM), repatriation insurance, and guesthouse accommodation.
• 5 weeks paid leave plus 22.5 RTT days per year and commitment to inclusion and non‑discrimination.
