Rehabilitation Technical Officer

About the role

The Rehabilitation Technical Officer will lead the resumption and scaling of physical and functional rehabilitation services in Khartoum, supporting capacity building of physiotherapists and other health workers. The role reports to the Project Manager and contributes to technical quality, sector assessments, and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to project teams and ensure rehabilitation activities meet HI’s quality standards.
• Lead the restart of physiotherapy services at the Khartoum rehabilitation centre and conduct comprehensive sector assessments.
• Develop and adapt clinical protocols, guidelines, and SOPs for the local context.
• Coordinate capacity‑building programmes, including training needs assessments, delivery of training, and competency tracking.
• Represent HI in local, regional and international networks and contribute to advocacy and proposal writing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric or physical rehabilitation.
• Experience in technical support, sector assessments, and capacity building.
