Health & Nutrition Manager, Eastern Sudan

About the role

The Health & Nutrition Manager will lead the implementation of health and nutrition activities for Samaritan's Purse in Eastern Sudan. Working closely with the Sudanese Ministry of Health and international partners, the role ensures programs follow MOH and WHO clinical protocols while supporting the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Ministry of Health and other partners to align project activities with national and WHO guidelines.
• Lead and support clinical professional teams from both Samaritan's Purse and the Ministry of Health.
• Collaborate with the International Health Unit throughout program implementation.
• Develop program proposals, logical frameworks, and budgets.
• Create educational materials and outreach campaigns consistent with Ministry of Health resources.
• Respond to emerging health and nutrition emergencies as needed.
• Supervise 5‑8 staff members, handling recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience managing health programs in the NGO sector.
• Experience working in remote or austere environments.
• Strong knowledge of health and nutrition best practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety and procedural documents.
