Driver (3 Positions)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking three drivers to operate and maintain its office vehicles in Sudan. The role involves safe driving, routine vehicle upkeep, and ensuring vehicles are used solely for official business.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM vehicle(s) and select the safest, most direct routes.
• Perform daily checks of tires, brakes, oil, and other systems; arrange minor repairs and keep vehicles clean.
• Ensure regular service intervals and maintain records of spare parts and monthly inventories.
• Prepare daily log sheets and monthly reports on mileage, fuel consumption, and other statistics.
• Maintain confidentiality and take actions to reduce security threats to IOM officials and property.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and driving regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Arabic (oral and written).

Required skills

• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Minor vehicle repair skills.
• Proficiency with GPS navigation and map reading.
• Basic operation of radio, email, and telephone applications.
