Driver

About the role

The Driver will provide reliable and secure transportation services for UNDP/OCHA staff and visitors, ensuring vehicle safety, maintenance, and compliance with UN policies.

Key responsibilities

• Drive office vehicles for transport of authorized personnel, mail, and documents, and escort visitors at airports.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, security, and serviceability, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure availability of required documents and supplies such as insurance, logs, maps, and first‑aid kits.
• Report accidents promptly and follow all compliance procedures.
• Perform minor vehicle repairs and coordinate major repairs with the Fleet/Transport Unit.

Required profile

• Secondary education completed.
• Valid driving license.
• At least two years of professional driving experience with a safe driving record.
• Ability to drive in mountainous and swampy conditions.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and minor repair skills.
