WASH Specialist (P-3) – Full Time

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a WASH Specialist (P‑3) to lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of its Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programmes in Port Sudan, Sudan. The role will support donor‑funded and emergency interventions, ensuring they are safe, sustainable and climate‑resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation and reporting of UNICEF’s WASH programme in Sudan.
• Provide technical and programmatic leadership for Dutch‑funded, KfW‑supported and other humanitarian WASH projects.
• Lead performance monitoring, coordinate implementing partners and oversee infrastructure rehabilitation and service delivery.
• Ensure programme quality, compliance with UNICEF policies and donor requirements.
• Contribute to donor reporting, risk management and results‑based management.

Required profile

• Experience in donor‑funded and emergency WASH interventions.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including government, NGOs and donors.
• Strong understanding of national WASH priorities and climate‑resilient service delivery.

Required skills
