Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

The Nutrition Coordinator leads technical support and planning for nutrition activities within International Medical Corps country programs. This role ensures that nutrition interventions align with national guidelines, humanitarian standards, and donor requirements while building capacity of local staff and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead nutrition managers and provide technical back‑stopping for program design, implementation, and monitoring.
• Coordinate with Ministries of Health, nutrition clusters, NGOs, and donors to align activities with national and international standards.
• Oversee Community‑based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) interventions.
• Organize regular review meetings, progress updates, and experience‑sharing sessions.
• Identify gaps and new opportunities, develop concept notes and proposals, and liaise with partners.
• Plan and conduct nutrition assessments and surveys following approved protocols.
• Support proposal development and contribute to country‑level nutrition strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing nutrition programs in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong ability to work with government agencies, UN clusters, NGOs, and donors.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Capacity to train and mentor local staff and stakeholders.
