Supply Chain Coordinator – Zalingei, Central Darfur (Contract until Jan 2027)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a solutions‑driven Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimise supply‑chain activities for its Darfur programme. Based in Zalingei, you will ensure that procurement, warehousing, transport and distribution processes support programme objectives and comply with IRC and donor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain procurement, warehousing, transport, staffing, distribution and training plans for all active grants.
• Coordinate with programme coordinators to create distribution plans that prevent excess inventory after grant closure.
• Work with field staff to confirm adequate warehouse space before dispatching supplies to field sites.
• Oversee the design, execution and monitoring of supply‑chain activities, ensuring continuous performance improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams (finance, technical coordinators, senior managers) and external partners (NGOs, inter‑agency groups, logistics cluster) to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Support capacity‑building initiatives for supply‑chain staff and incorporate training costs into budgets.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in humanitarian or development supply‑chain management.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to plan, organise and monitor multiple supply‑chain functions simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with both internal and external partners.
