Inclusive Humanitarian Action Specialist (Sudan)

About the role

The Inclusive Humanitarian Action (IHA) Specialist will support Humanity & Inclusion’s response to the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, ensuring that persons with disabilities are fully included in all assistance programmes. Based in Khartoum, the role will start as soon as possible on a six‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rapid assessments of the needs of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in conflict‑affected areas.
• Integrate disability inclusion standards into food security, health, and livelihood interventions.
• Coordinate with local partners, UN agencies, and other NGOs to promote inclusive programming.
• Monitor and report on the implementation of inclusive actions, identifying barriers and proposing corrective measures.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building to field teams on inclusive humanitarian practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian programmes, preferably in conflict settings.
• Strong knowledge of disability inclusion and protection principles.
• Ability to work in Sudan, with familiarity of the local context and languages.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
