Health & Nutrition Tech Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Health & Nutrition Tech Lead to join our International Projects team in Eastern Sudan, supporting humanitarian health initiatives in line with our faith‑driven mission.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Sudanese Ministry of Health and partner organisations to implement activities following MOH and WHO clinical protocols.
• Lead and coordinate Samaritan's Purse and Ministry of Health clinical professional teams.
• Collaborate with the International Health Unit throughout programme implementation.
• Develop programme proposals, logical frameworks and budgets.
• Create educational materials and outreach campaigns aligned with Ministry of Health resources.
• Address and manage emerging health and nutrition emergencies as needed.
• Supervise five to eight staff members, handling recruitment, training, performance appraisal, discipline and problem resolution.
• Perform any other duties assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Public Health (MPH) with at least five years’ experience managing health programmes in the NGO sector (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in technical report writing and working in remote, austere environments.
• Thorough knowledge of health and nutrition best practices.
• Working knowledge of inventory and distribution management, monitoring and evaluation, and programme management.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedural manuals.
• Strong written communication skills for routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective public speaking abilities.
• Preferred: twelve credit hours of college‑level Biblical Studies (not required).
