About the role
The Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Manager will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of ADD’s FSL programmes in Sudan. Based in Khartoum, the role ensures interventions are timely, effective, gender‑responsive and aligned with market‑based approaches.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and update ADD’s FSL strategy, SOPs, tools and assessments for Sudan.
- Conduct regular market analyses, adjust programmes and support local market resilience.
- Identify gaps, design needs assessments and contribute to donor reporting.
- Manage a multidisciplinary FSL team, providing training, mentoring and capacity‑building.
- Oversee budget and project management for multiple FSL projects, both direct and through partners.
- Coordinate with security, finance, HR, logistics and procurement to ensure smooth implementation.
- Engage with financial and market service providers, exploring new technologies such as mobile money and e‑vouchers.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing humanitarian FSL programmes, preferably in Sudan or similar contexts.
- Strong understanding of food security, livelihoods, market systems and gender‑responsive programming.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor staff and work with local partners.
- Experience in budget oversight, donor coordination and reporting.
