About the role
The Driver will provide reliable and secure transportation services for UNDP/OCHA staff and visitors, ensuring vehicle safety, maintenance, and compliance with UN policies.
Key responsibilities
- Drive office vehicles for transport of authorized personnel, mail, and documents, and escort visitors at airports.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, security, and serviceability, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure availability of required documents and supplies such as insurance, logs, maps, and first‑aid kits.
- Report accidents promptly and follow all compliance procedures.
- Perform minor vehicle repairs and coordinate major repairs with the Fleet/Transport Unit.
Required profile
- Secondary education completed.
- Valid driving license.
- At least two years of professional driving experience with a safe driving record.
- Ability to drive in mountainous and swampy conditions.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
Required skills
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and minor repair skills.
