Child Protection Officer – Fixed Term (Kosti, Sudan)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Child Protection Officer to join its Country Office in Kosti, Sudan on a fixed‑term basis. The Officer will support the design, implementation and evaluation of child protection programmes that form part of the country’s overall UNICEF strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and preparation of child protection programmes and projects.
• Manage the implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of child protection activities.
• Provide technical guidance and management support throughout the programme cycle.
• Coordinate with the Chief, Child Protection or Child Protection Manager and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with UNICEF policies and standards.
• Facilitate the administration and achievement of concrete, sustainable contributions to national child protection outcomes.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in managing child protection programmes or projects.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Chief, Child Protection or Child Protection Manager.
• Commitment to UNICEF’s mission and equity strategy.
