Multi-Core Competency Project Manager – Education & Protection

About the role

The Multi-Core Competency Project Manager (Multi-CC PM) leads the design, implementation and quality assurance of education and protection programmes for vulnerable populations in West & Central Darfur, Sudan. Based in the Geneina Area Office, the role is part of the Area Management Team and reports to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise project staff, including performance management, recruitment and capacity building.
• Oversee project budgets, procurement, M&E and reporting in line with the Project Cycle Management framework and donor requirements.
• Ensure the delivery of education and protection interventions to the most vulnerable beneficiaries.
• Coordinate with internal departments, local authorities, partners and other stakeholders.
• Develop and promote innovative, market‑based approaches and new project concepts.
• Maintain compliance with NRC policies, ensure duty of care and support advocacy efforts.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing education and/or protection projects in humanitarian settings.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Ability to work with donors, partners and local authorities.
• Excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
