About the role
The Community Mobilizer (CM) will support the implementation of project interventions in Gadarif, empowering local communities to achieve sustainable development and improve child well‑being. This is a one‑year fixed‑term position, renewable based on performance and project needs.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in planning, budgeting and preparation of work plans for community‑level activities.
- Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities, workshops, and seminars.
- Identify and engage local partners, supporting their participation in project delivery.
- Document impact stories and update the ZID database on a monthly basis.
- Mobilize children, families and community members to take part in planning, monitoring and evaluation of development initiatives.
- Build capacity of community health volunteers (CHVs) and support local leaders in addressing child‑well‑being issues.
- Assist in fundraising strategies and develop integrated monitoring plans with stakeholders.
Required profile
- Experience working with community‑based programs, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Strong understanding of community engagement, advocacy and capacity‑building approaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partners, local authorities and beneficiaries.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
