Country Technical Program Management Coordinator

About the role

The Coordinator, Country Technical Program Management leads the health programme and ensures technical quality across all sectoral interventions. This role provides technical supervision, integrates cross‑sector activities, and strengthens local partner capacity while supporting field staff through coaching and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the health sector, ensuring medical and clinical interventions meet WHO, SPHERE and Ministry of Health standards.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and oversee the management, quality and use of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
• Provide technical leadership to sector leads (Health, Nutrition, WASH, MHPSS, VAWG) to ensure coherent, integrated programming.
• Set and uphold technical standards across sectors, promote complementarity and recommend innovative approaches.
• Contribute technical input to proposals, monitor implementation quality, and flag technical risks.
• Support technical assessments, integrate findings into programme design and ensure data quality for reporting.
• Participate in recruitment, set performance objectives for direct reports and provide regular coaching.
• Build local partner technical capacity and coordinate cross‑sector activities at national and regional levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing health programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong knowledge of WHO, SPHERE and national health guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.
• Experience in cross‑sector coordination and capacity‑building initiatives.
