Women's Protection Coordinator

About the role

Trócaire is expanding its Women and Girls Protection, Voice and Leadership programme in South Kordofan. The Women's Protection Coordinator will lead implementation, provide strategic and technical oversight, and ensure high‑quality, survivor‑centred protection programming for women and girls affected by conflict.

Key responsibilities

• Support local partners in project set‑up, including establishing safe spaces and emergency response activities.
• Deliver core GBV trainings such as GBV Case Management and GBV Information Management System (IMS) INSPiRE, and mentor partner staff.
• Ensure GBV approaches are consistent, culturally appropriate, evidence‑based, and aligned with minimum standards.
• Collaborate with the GBViE advisor to integrate gender‑based violence and exploitation prevention into programme design.
• Monitor and report on programme quality, providing technical guidance to achieve project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gender‑based violence prevention and response within humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of GBV minimum standards and survivor‑centred approaches.
• Ability to work effectively with local partners, women‑led organisations, and community stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for training and capacity‑building.
