MEAL Coordinator – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

About the role

Trócaire is looking for a dedicated MEAL Coordinator to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) system for its Sudan Country Programme. The role will ensure high‑quality evidence is collected, analysed and used across projects, supporting partners in complex, access‑constrained environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the country‑programme MEAL framework, tools, processes and guidance.
• Support the design and quality assurance of project logframes, MEAL plans, indicator frameworks and IPTTs.
• Establish common data‑collection approaches and manage tools such as Kobo Toolbox.
• Provide technical support for baseline surveys, formative research, community feedback mechanisms and MEAL reporting.
• Collaborate with partners’ MEAL officers to address data challenges and promote learning.

Required profile

• Dedicated professional with experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to provide responsive technical and programme support to partners operating in complex, access‑constrained environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to identify practical and innovative solutions to data challenges.
