Women's Protection Coordinator

About the role

Trócaire is seeking a Women’s Protection Coordinator to lead the implementation and quality assurance of its Women and Girls Protection, Voice and Leadership programme in South Kordofan, Sudan. The role will provide strategic and technical oversight to local partners and women‑led organisations, ensuring survivor‑centred GBV prevention and response in line with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support partners in project set‑up, including establishment of Women and Girls Safe Spaces and emergency response activities.
• Deliver core GBV trainings such as GBV Case Management, GBV Information Management System (IMS) and INSPiRE, and provide ongoing mentorship to partner staff.
• Ensure GBV approaches are consistent, effective, culturally appropriate and evidence‑based.
• Collaborate with the GBViE advisor to develop a GBV programme strategy aligned with local context, organisational priorities and Sudan’s Country Strategic Plan.
• Conduct contextual, power, poverty and gender analyses to inform programme design.

Required profile

• Proven experience in GBV prevention and response within humanitarian settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with local partners and women‑led organisations.
• Strong understanding of GBV minimum standards and survivor‑centred approaches.
• Experience in conducting gender‑based analyses and developing programme strategies.
