Mining Technician (فني منجم)

About the role

The Mining Technician (فني منجم) is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Port Sudan, supporting daily mining and field operations. The role involves assisting with drilling, extraction and material handling, operating and monitoring heavy equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with drilling, extraction and material handling activities.
• Operate and monitor heavy equipment under established safety procedures.
• Conduct basic inspections of mining areas and equipment.
• Record operational data and report hazards or irregularities to supervisors.
• Collaborate with engineers and site teams to follow mining plans and comply with regulations.

Required profile

• Operational and technical knowledge of mining activities and basic mining engineering principles.
• Inspection skills to monitor equipment, work areas and production processes.
• Understanding of coal or similar mineral resources, handling and safety considerations.
• Strong communication for coordination and accurate reporting.
• Willingness to work in physically demanding, rotating‑shift environments on‑site in Port Sudan.
