Supply & Logistics Officer – Kosti, Sudan

About the role

The Supply & Logistics Officer will support UNICEF's mission in Sudan by managing and coordinating the supply chain for a small country office or specific elements of a larger operation. Reporting to the Head of Operations or the Supply and Logistics Manager, the officer ensures that goods and services reach programmes efficiently and in compliance with UNICEF standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, procure, and contract goods and services required for programme delivery.
• Handle customs clearance, warehousing, in‑country transport, and distribution of supplies.
• Monitor supplies, services, and construction works to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with programme teams to define supply interventions that meet child‑focused results.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government bodies, national systems, and partners on supply chain management.

Required profile

• Reports to the Head of Operations or Supply & Logistics Manager/Specialist.
• Provides technical and operational support according to the country office set‑up.
• Responsible for managing supply chains of a small office or elements of larger operations.
• Works closely with programme staff and external partners to align logistics with humanitarian objectives.
