Risk and Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Risk and Compliance Coordinator supports the Risk and Compliance Manager in strengthening internal controls, managing risks, and promoting ethical practices across the programme. This position ensures that compliance and assurance activities are effectively implemented to uphold the integrity and accountability of operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Risk and Compliance Manager in monitoring and improving internal control systems.
• Conduct reviews and assessments in collaboration with finance, procurement, HR, awards, and supply‑chain teams to ensure adherence to SCI policies, donor regulations, and local laws.
• Support partner compliance, capacity‑building initiatives, fraud investigations, and awareness programmes.
• Contribute to risk‑management processes, including SCARF, COSFA, and Top Risk registers.
• Help drive ethical programming efforts throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of risk management, compliance frameworks and donor regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Experience in conducting compliance reviews, assessments and supporting investigations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to ethical standards.
