Program Manager

About the role

Relief International is seeking a Program Manager to lead its multi‑sector humanitarian portfolio in Sudan. The position is a fixed‑term contract from 1 October 2026 to 30 May 2027, with the possibility of renewal based on funding. The role will be based in Sudan and will involve regular travel across programme locations, subject to security conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of a multi‑sector portfolio exceeding USD 10 million, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet donor and organisational standards.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to technical teams, MEAL, finance, supply chain, HR and security colleagues.
• Manage donor compliance, reporting, and partnership agreements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate programme risks in a complex, rapidly changing environment.
• Strengthen local partnerships and support adaptive programming to enhance impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale humanitarian programmes in conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
• Excellent understanding of donor compliance, partnership management and risk assessment.
• Commitment to inclusive, gender‑sensitive and context‑driven programme delivery.
