International Consultant – Complex Risk Analytics Fund Project

About the role

The International Consultant will support the Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF’d) project in Sudan, providing technical and programmatic implementation assistance to generate timely, high‑quality gender data. Working under the project coordinator, the consultant will ensure gender analysis informs humanitarian planning, monitoring and peace‑building efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the standardisation and quality assurance of Gender Analysis Reports using UN Women’s gender analysis toolkit.
• Design and apply gender‑sensitive data collection methodologies and produce country‑specific gender alerts and snapshots.
• Organise and facilitate data validation workshops and incorporate feedback into actionable recommendations.
• Conduct comprehensive gender analyses to identify impacts, risks and power dynamics linked to the conflict.
• Map formal and informal actors, especially women‑led organisations, and assess their roles in gender data production and use.
• Plan and deliver capacity‑building trainings for Women’s Rights Officers and other stakeholders on gender statistics in humanitarian settings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gender data collection, analysis and reporting within humanitarian or conflict‑affected contexts.
• Strong knowledge of UN Women gender analysis frameworks and tools.
• Ability to work independently under supervision, coordinate workshops and engage with diverse stakeholders, including conflict actors.
