Product Development & Partnership Manager (Bede)

About the role

Bede, a Zain Fintech company operating in Sudan, is looking for a Product Development & Partnership Manager within its Growth & Business Development division. The role leads the design, development and growth of digital fintech products and strategic partnerships, working with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Customer Experience teams. It reports to the FinTech Director.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute product development strategies, roadmaps and business plans, and lead products from concept through launch and post-launch optimisation.
• Define product requirements, pricing models, customer journeys and value propositions, and manage the product lifecycle.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate and establish strategic partnerships with banks, FinTechs, merchants, payment service providers and technology vendors, including SLAs and contracts.
• Build business cases and financial models, drive commercialisation, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Lead cross-functional project teams, coordinate product launches and go-to-market activities, and ensure compliance with regulations and information security policies.
• Develop and mentor team members, set performance objectives, run performance reviews and prepare operational reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, IT, Telecommunications or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, product management, business development, partnership or commercial management, and minimum 3 years in leadership.
• Experience in telecommunications, fintech, mobile money, banking or payments, and a proven track record of launching digital products and partnership ecosystems.
• Professional certifications in product management, project management, fintech, digital transformation or business analysis are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication in Arabic and English, including with top management.
• Project management, vendor and third-party management, and reporting and analytics, including dashboards for executive and board reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
