Relationship Officer

About the role

The Relationship Officer will be based on‑site in Kassala and will serve as the primary point of contact between 249Startups and the growing community of entrepreneurs, partners and investors. This full‑time position focuses on onboarding startups, understanding their needs and linking them to relevant programmes, mentors and funding opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and nurture relationships with startups, investors and ecosystem stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
• Onboard new startups, assess their requirements and connect them with appropriate mentors, programmes and financing options.
• Organise and coordinate meetings, events and workshops that foster collaboration within the ecosystem.
• Track engagement metrics, collect feedback and prepare regular reports for internal teams.
• Identify new partnership opportunities and support sales‑related activities for 249Startups’ services.

Required profile

• Strong business relationship management abilities with a focus on building and growing partnerships.
• Foundational finance and business acumen to understand startup financial needs and basic budgeting concepts.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Sales orientation to promote programmes, convert leads and support revenue‑generating initiatives.
• Experience in entrepreneurship support, event coordination or stakeholder management is a plus.
• Relevant academic background in Business, Economics, Finance, Communications or a related field.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
