Partnership Officer

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a dynamic Partnership Officer to implement its strategic partnerships framework at country level in Sudan. The role will strengthen collaborations with national NGOs, community‑based organisations, civil society, the private sector and research institutes, supporting programme delivery and donor compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in DRC Sudan’s partnerships and localisation strategy in coordination with the partnership coordinator and programme managers.
• Map and identify new partnership opportunities, assess partner capacities and facilitate targeted capacity‑strengthening support.
• Ensure donor compliance for national partnerships across DRC’s portfolio and provide technical guidance to programme staff.
• Conduct organisational capacity assessments, analyse results and coordinate training or development interventions.
• Manage partner relationships, provide ongoing mentorship to partnership focal points and support financial and project‑cycle management.
• Coordinate with internal departments to align communication, engagement and reporting on partnership activities.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated professional with experience in partnership development, preferably within humanitarian or NGO contexts.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements and capacity‑building processes.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to work across programme and support teams.
• Ability to analyse assessments and translate findings into actionable support plans.
