About the role
The Operations Technician supports WHO Sudan Fleet Services by ensuring transport availability, safe vehicle use, and accurate fleet data. You will coordinate daily vehicle allocations, monitor rentals, and help maintain a reliable fleet for programme and operational movements.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, review, and coordinate transport requests via the Transport Booking System (TBS) and propose daily vehicle allocations.
- Manage the vehicle pool, prepare driver rosters, and arrange replacements during driver absence or vehicle downtime.
- Maintain daily movement records, log sheets, and transport files for audit and verification.
- Monitor rented vehicles and drivers for compliance, insurance, safety equipment, and technical condition.
- Inspect vehicles before acceptance, during service, and prior to release, ensuring they are road‑worthy and equipped.
- Schedule preventive maintenance, follow up repairs, and verify work completion in vehicle logbooks.
- Enter and verify fleet data in Tracpoint/FMS, covering odometer, fuel, maintenance, downtime, and incident records.
- Support monthly KPI reporting, ad‑hoc fleet reports, and invoice reconciliation.
Required profile
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills for coordination with drivers, workshops, and supervisors.
- Experience in fleet or transport operations is preferred.
