Logistics Officer – Sudan (Kadugli) – Nationals Only

About the role

The Logistics Officer will support the day‑to‑day implementation of the logistics function for operations in Kadugli, Sudan. The role ensures that logistics activities comply with NRC policies, donor requirements and established SOPs while supporting field office set‑up and resource administration.

Key responsibilities

• Implement delegated logistics functions according to the Plan of Action and provide daily operational support.
• Prepare, consolidate and share the monthly logistics report with the Country office.
• Develop, update and monitor procurement plans in coordination with Programme and Finance teams.
• Manage procurement cycles from solicitation to award, including RFQs/ITBs, supplier communications, evaluation, bid analysis and award documentation.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders, contracts and framework agreements, monitor delivery timelines and supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records in Unit4 and ensure timely submission of invoices and delivery documents to Finance.
• Review purchase requisitions for completeness, approvals and realistic lead times.
• Track and report on procurement activities, vendor performance and market prices.
• Support the establishment and development of field offices and ensure proper filing of all support documents.

Required profile

• National of Sudan (Kadugli) – “Nationals Only”.
• Demonstrated experience in logistics and procurement within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with NRC policies, donor requirements and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work within set budgets, timelines and quality standards.

Required skills

• Unit4 procurement and logistics system.
• Procurement management (RFQs, ITBs, contract administration).
• Logistics reporting and documentation.
