ICT Technical Assistant – Kadugli (Nationals Only)

About the role

The ICT Technical Assistant will support NRC Sudan’s office in Kadugli by ensuring smooth operation of all IT services and adhering to organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide help‑desk support to all users on IT issues and diagnose hardware, software, or connectivity problems.
• Maintain the Asset Registry to track ICT and non‑ICT equipment and prepare/release ICT resources to authorised users.
• Schedule regular computer‑related service and maintenance, and set up internet connectivity for staff and visitors.
• Prepare and develop status reports for management and ensure proper filing of documents.
• Perform other duties as required by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a humanitarian setting.
• Strong communication skills, cultural awareness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Fluency in English.

• LAN/WAN, VSAT and wireless networking.
• Cisco switches and routers configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Internet connectivity setup for staff and visitors.
• Asset Registry management.
