Evidence Generation Consultant (Nationals Only)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a qualified Evidence Generation Consultant to support the Social Policy Section in analysing data from the Mother and Child Cash Transfer Plus (MCCT+) programme. The role focuses on consolidating, harmonising and interpreting baseline, midline and endline datasets to produce policy‑relevant evidence that will guide programme improvement and scale‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Systematically consolidate and harmonise MCCT+ datasets from Phases I, II and III.
• Conduct quantitative analysis using repeated cross‑sectional and quasi‑experimental methods.
• Interpret findings to inform adaptive management, policy dialogue and future programming.
• Prepare clear evidence products and disseminate results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Economics, Economic Development, Econometrics or a related social science.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in development economics research, impact evaluation or applied econometrics.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Strong quantitative skills using Stata, R or Python.
• Experience analysing household survey and impact‑evaluation datasets.
• Knowledge of econometric and statistical techniques, including repeated cross‑sectional analysis and quasi‑experimental methods.
