Coordination Unit (Forum) Coordinator for Nuba Mountains

About the role

The Coordination Unit (Forum) Coordinator will act as a neutral convener of multi‑sectoral humanitarian coordination in Region 1/Nuba Mountains, supporting collective planning, service gap identification and strengthening the link between emergency response and longer‑term programming.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate inclusive, neutral coordination meetings and support joint response strategy design with the CU management.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date service‑mapping platform and roll out shared tools such as referral trackers and dashboards.
• Engage with OCHA, clusters, INGOs, NNGOs and local authorities to ensure alignment with existing coordination structures and address access‑related issues.
• Promote learning exchanges, capture lessons learned and support capacity‑strengthening activities for local and international partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in humanitarian affairs, development studies or social sciences (master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian response, coordination or multisectoral programming.
• Proven facilitation, negotiation and coordination skills in conflict‑affected or access‑constrained contexts.
• Fluency in English (Arabic an advantage) and knowledge of the South Kordofan/Nuba Mountains context.
