Community Mobilizer (CM) – Damazin, Blue Nile

About the role

The Community Mobilizer (CM) will support the implementation of project interventions in Damazin, ensuring that local communities are empowered to contribute to sustainable development and child well‑being outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning, budgeting and preparation of work plans for community‑level activities.
• Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities, workshops, and seminars.
• Identify and engage local partners, supporting their participation in project delivery.
• Collect and document impact and success stories on a regular basis.
• Mobilize children, families and community members to take part in planning, monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Train Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) on the ZID approach and support their supervision.
• Assist in fundraising strategies and develop integrated monitoring plans with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community mobilization or similar humanitarian projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local leaders, NGOs and government officials.
• Strong communication skills for community advocacy and capacity‑building activities.
• Willingness to travel within the Blue Nile region and work on‑site.
