National Programme Support Consultant

About the role

The National Programme Support Consultant will work under the guidance of the SRHR Specialist to provide high‑level administrative, operational and programme support for UNFPA’s Country Office. The role contributes to the development and implementation of the UNFPA Country Programme, ensuring compliance with UNFPA standards and facilitating effective delivery of SRHR activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational assistance to Country Office staff, including travel authorisations and logistical arrangements.
• Maintain filing and archiving systems for programmes and projects to ensure data integrity.
• Facilitate security clearances and logistical support for incoming missions and consultants.
• Monitor programme implementation, track deadlines and ensure adherence to UNFPA quality standards.
• Summarise technical information and draft contributions for reports, papers and monitoring plans.
• Support financial management by tracking expenditures and processing routine payments.
• Organise and coordinate internal meeting agendas and communications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in administrative and programme support within an international or development context.
• Familiarity with UN or donor‑funded project procedures and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work under the direction of a specialist and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
