Operations Manager – Sudan

About the role

Humanity & Inclusion is seeking an Operations Manager to lead its Sudan operations from Khartoum. Reporting to the Sudan Country Director, the role ensures high‑quality implementation of humanitarian programmes and oversees a team of project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, translate organisational strategy into operational objectives and foster innovation.
• Develop and steer the programme operational strategy, contribute to annual monitoring and crisis response.
• Ensure compliance with HI global frameworks, institutional policies and donor requirements.
• Oversee project management, monitoring, reporting and resource planning across multiple sectors.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to embody HI values, coach teams and manage performance.
• Experience in humanitarian operations, including programme planning, donor liaison and partnership development.
• Strong knowledge of security, safeguarding, anti‑fraud and gender‑disability inclusion policies.
• Proven capacity to lead in complex, multi‑partner environments and adapt to emergency contexts.
