Senior Operations Manager – Humanitarian Operations

About the role

The Senior Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operational functions of Samaritan's Purse in Sudan, ensuring that office facilities, logistics, procurement, fleet, and IT services run smoothly to support humanitarian programs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee office maintenance, utilities, service contracts and coordinate security upgrades with the Country Security Manager.
• Manage a results‑oriented procurement office, handling planning, vetting, pricing, ordering, purchasing and inventory control in line with donor policies.
• Coordinate ground, water and air transportation for personnel and cargo, working with UNHAS, charter companies and commercial carriers.
• Supervise fleet operations, including staff, fuel, maintenance schedules and regulatory compliance.
• Direct country‑wide IT infrastructure, covering VSAT internet, CCTV, servers, printers and backup systems.
• Provide input for the country budget, forecast logistics expenditures and monitor operational costs.
• Ensure accurate asset tracking, conduct quarterly physical inventories and drive cost‑effective solutions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated personal commitment to the mission and values of Samaritan's Purse.
• Senior‑level experience in humanitarian operations, logistics or procurement.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure in a complex environment.
