IT Specialist

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) seeks an IT Specialist to configure, implement and maintain its ICT environment across field offices in Sudan. You will ensure reliable hardware, software and network services while providing high‑quality support and training to staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L3 technical support and help‑desk services to end‑users, documenting issues and resolutions.
• Install, image and configure operating systems and DRC‑approved tools, including cloud storage solutions.
• Deploy and maintain ICT infrastructure – hardware, software, telecommunications, LAN/WAN, firewall, wireless and remote‑access services.
• Analyse local requirements, advise on connectivity solutions and report updates to HQ.
• Implement global systems and applications, manage software upgrades and ensure compliance with DRC standards.
• Coordinate with ISPs and service providers, manage ICT assets and oversee liquidation processes.
• Provide on‑call remote support, prepare induction packages and technical setups for meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting ICT systems in challenging environments.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and produce periodic reports.
• Strong communication skills to train users and liaise with service providers.
