Education Officer – UNICEF (Full‑time)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Officer to support programme development and planning in Sudan, a country facing one of the world’s largest education crises. The role will contribute to research, analysis and the preparation of technical reports that inform education interventions for millions of children affected by conflict.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse regional and national political, health, social and economic trends affecting education.
• Collect, verify and synthesize data to support programme design, results‑based planning and monitoring.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and materials for programme review and approval.
• Contribute to the development of sectoral goals, objectives and strategies based on evidence‑based analysis.
• Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of the programming cycle.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in education, social sciences, international development or related field.
• Experience in programme development, research and analysis in humanitarian or education contexts.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
