Country Representative – Sudan

About the role

Islamic Help is seeking a Country Representative to lead its operations in Sudan, based in Port Sudan. Reporting directly to the International Programmes & Partnerships Director in the UK, the role offers a full‑time, one‑year renewable contract with a negotiable salary.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Islamic Help to local partners, donors, and authorities.
• Oversee the planning, implementation and monitoring of humanitarian and development programmes in Sudan.
• Manage country‑level staff, resources and budgets in line with organisational policies.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance programme impact.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme or project management within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
