Wellness Education Chair

About the role

The Wellness Education Chair will lead InDependent’s efforts to create and deliver educational content that supports the well‑being of military spouses. Working closely with multiple committees, you will shape a strategic content program that is both practical and relatable, empowering the military community through valuable resources.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis and research to pinpoint wellness needs and challenges faced by military spouses.
• Lead a team of correspondents, contributors, and subject‑matter experts, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high‑quality educational output.
• Develop and execute a creative content strategy that includes webinars, interviews, e‑books, articles, and other digital assets.
• Maintain an editorial calendar aligned with the organization’s overall strategy.
• Oversee the creation of educational articles covering a broad range of wellness topics, collaborating with partners and wellness professionals.
• Ensure all content is accurate, well‑researched, and consistent with InDependent’s mission and values.
• Partner with marketing and IT teams to distribute content via the website, social media, newsletters, and other channels.
• Monitor and evaluate content impact, making continuous improvements.
• Provide board‑level leadership, uphold integrity, confidentiality, and promote a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in content creation, education, or wellness initiatives.
• Strong research and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with various committees.
• Excellent written communication and editorial judgment.
• Commitment to the nonprofit mission of supporting military spouses.
