Team Leader – Billing

About the role

The Team Leader – Billing Systems will oversee the administration, operation, and continuous improvement of Canar's billing platforms, ensuring accurate invoicing, high system availability, and seamless service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end billing cycle, including invoice generation, tariff configuration, and subscriber provisioning.
• Provide second‑level technical support and coordinate with vendors to resolve complex incidents and implement change requests.
• Oversee SIM lifecycle, mediation, CDR processing, stock inventory, and the Customer Care Module.
• Monitor system performance, health, backups, and execute disaster‑recovery plans.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the billing operations team through training and performance management.
• Support new billing projects, prepare RFIs/RFPs, evaluate vendors, manage integrations/migrations, and drive process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in telecommunications billing systems and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record delivering billing system implementations, greenfield setups or migrations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Huawei CBS/BSS or similar convergent billing platforms.
• Strong knowledge of OCS, PCRF, FUP, VoLTE, mediation frameworks and rating engines.
• Familiarity with Diameter protocols (Gy, Gx, Ro, Rf).
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, database management, cloud infrastructure and API integration.
