Supply Chain Assistant

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to manage day‑to‑day stock and warehouse operations at its Kosti facility in Sudan. The role ensures the smooth flow of goods, from receipt to issue, supporting humanitarian programmes across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and record incoming goods, verify quantities, quality and specifications against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date stock cards and document all arrivals in the stock management system.
• Oversee loading and off‑loading of trucks, reporting any discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
• Organise warehouse space efficiently, label and tag items, and store them according to category, expiry date or other specifications.
• Prepare and issue items against approved release orders, applying FIFO or FEFO principles.
• Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks, maintaining accurate records of receipts, issues and balances.
• Prepare weekly/monthly inventory reports for the Senior Supply Management officer.
• Ensure safety and security of the warehouse, including fire safety, proper stacking and restricted access, and report any irregularities.
