Senior Research & Evaluation Lead – Sudan

About the role

We are looking for two experienced Senior Research and Evaluation Leads to manage and deliver high‑impact evaluation, assessment and third‑party monitoring projects across Sudan. The role involves designing robust research methodologies, guiding multidisciplinary teams and serving as the main liaison with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and management of evaluation and assessment projects in Sudan.
• Develop and apply rigorous research methodologies for high‑quality data collection and analysis.
• Oversee third‑party monitoring services to ensure compliance with project objectives and client requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, tailoring project frameworks to their needs.
• Produce comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
• Mentor and guide staff, project managers, operations managers and researchers, fostering continuous learning.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in research and evaluation methodologies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, economics, public policy or statistics.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in research, evaluation or a related discipline.
• Proven track record of leading complex evaluation and assessment projects.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Currently based in Sudan.
