Roving Partnership Coordinator

About the role

The Roving Partnership Coordinator supports Save the Children’s Partnership Unit in strengthening and monitoring a network of local NGOs across Sudan. The role involves extensive field travel to assess, build capacity, and ensure compliance with donor and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a partner database and keep an up‑to‑date list of potential NGOs.
• Conduct pre‑award assessments, capacity monitoring and regular field visits (approximately 80% of time) for selection, monitoring, capacity building and child safeguarding.
• Provide training and guidance on Save the Children and donor policies, best practices and government regulations.
• Prepare and circulate visit reports, maintain partner documentation, and ensure monitoring check‑lists are completed.
• Facilitate regular meetings with partner staff to track sub‑award performance, recognise risks and implement corrective actions.
• Support award kick‑off meetings and daily award‑cycle management in line with SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in partnership management, capacity strengthening or humanitarian programmes.
• Demonstrated field experience in Sudan and familiarity with local NGO financial systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Data analysis and dashboard creation.
