Reproductive Health Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Reproductive Health Manager to lead and strengthen its RMNCAH (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health) programmes in Sudan. The role combines technical expertise, programme management, and capacity‑building to ensure high‑quality service delivery in humanitarian settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance for concept notes, proposals, budgets and donor reports across all IRC Sudan reproductive health projects.
• Coordinate RMNCAH projects, develop and monitor work plans, and ensure timely delivery according to donor timelines.
• Develop, review, disseminate and monitor SOPs and protocols for RMNCAH service delivery.
• Conduct needs assessments, stay updated on national WHO/Government RMNCAH guidelines, and keep IRC staff informed.
• Lead periodic provider skills assessments and organise capacity‑building activities such as trainings, mentorship and coaching.
• Supervise field teams to ensure quality assurance, technical support supervision and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen partnerships with the Ministry of Health and county health departments, representing IRC in relevant forums.
• Oversee data collection, reporting and performance reviews to generate evidence for programme design and learning.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, medicine, nursing or a related field.
• Extensive experience managing RMNCAH programmes in humanitarian or low‑resource settings.
• Proven ability to develop proposals, budgets and donor reports.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring indicators and generating evidence‑based reports.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
