Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will manage the sourcing, negotiation and purchase of spare parts, machinery, industrial chemicals and related materials for clients in the oil & gas sector and NGOs. The role ensures timely delivery, cost control and compliance with technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review client Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
• Source products and obtain quotations from local and international suppliers.
• Prepare comparative price analyses and evaluate supplier offers.
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms and commercial conditions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers and clients to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Track purchase orders, shipment status and customs documentation.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
• Support tendering and bidding processes for oil & gas projects and NGOs.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance and product availability.
• Ensure purchased materials meet quality and technical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in procurement or supply‑chain operations.
• Experience in oil & gas, industrial supply or NGO procurement is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Understanding of international trade and logistics procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good command of written and spoken English.
