MEAL Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a MEAL Coordinator to lead performance monitoring and learning for our 2026‑2030 Country Strategy in Sudan. The role will ensure rigorous, ethical, and protection‑sensitive monitoring, evaluation, research and data management across all programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and periodically review the Country MEAL Strategy and action plan in line with WHH Sudan’s strategy and donor requirements.
• Establish and strengthen MEAL standards, procedures, tools and quality‑assurance mechanisms for WHH and partner‑implemented programmes.
• Provide evidence‑based advice to senior leadership on programme performance, quality risks and adaptation opportunities.
• Translate the Country Strategy into an integrated performance and learning framework and coordinate regular portfolio reviews.
• Lead technical quality assurance for programme design, theories of change, logframes, indicators, sampling, data‑collection tools and evaluations.
• Ensure the application of WHH’s Measuring Success framework and promote adaptive management across the portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop MEAL teams and build capacity of partners.
• Strong understanding of food systems, climate resilience, equitable partnerships and localisation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
