About the role
The HR and Administration Officer will support the Gedaref office of the Danish Refugee Council by managing human‑resource processes and administrative services. Reporting to the Support Services Team Leader, the role ensures compliance with DRC policies, Sudanese labour law, and local regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Apply DRC HR standards and ensure office compliance with the Operations Handbook.
- Coordinate recruitment, advertising vacancies, and maintain the recruitment tracker.
- Prepare induction packages, oversee onboarding, and manage staff leaves and absences.
- Collect timesheets, process monthly payroll, issue payslips, and ensure correct tax, social insurance, and Zakat deductions.
- Maintain staff files, contracts, extensions, and separations according to checklist requirements.
- Support staff performance reviews, development plans, and grievance handling.
- Store and archive correspondence with government authorities in the HR SharePoint.
Required profile
- Experience in HR and administration within an NGO or similar environment.
- Familiarity with Sudanese labour law and local payroll regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record‑keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively with managers and the finance team.
