About the role
The HR & Admin Officer supports the Area Manager in delivering comprehensive human resources and administrative services for the Khartoum‑Omdurman office of the Danish Refugee Council. The role covers recruitment, staff onboarding, payroll processing, health insurance, contract management, and office logistics.
Key responsibilities
- Apply DRC HR standards and ensure compliance with Sudanese labour law.
- Support managers with performance reviews, staff development plans, and grievance handling.
- Prepare induction packages, coordinate onboarding, and manage staff leaves and absences.
- Process monthly timesheets, calculate taxes, social insurance, Zakat, and release payroll and payslips.
- Maintain staff files, update recruitment trackers, and archive correspondence on the HR SharePoint.
- Advertise vacancies, coordinate recruitment steps, and ensure adherence to recruitment guidelines.
- Oversee office and guest‑house supplies to maintain operational readiness.
Required profile
- Familiarity with DRC Operations Handbook and Sudanese labour regulations.
- Experience in payroll administration, tax calculation, and social insurance deductions.
- Ability to manage recruitment processes, staff contracts, and onboarding procedures.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining HR documentation and SharePoint archives.
